Noosa Landcare - Pomona
It was a fun day shooting for the Noosa Landcare crew. Not only did I get to see the nooks and cranny’s of the Noosa Hinterland, I also got to brush up on my plant ID skills and gain an overall appreciation for the local natural area. I actually have a Master of Science degree in Ecology, so it was fitting to combine my passions of the natural world with photography. These guys are doing great work to maintain the delicate local ecosystems. The rapid rates of development on the coast are putting a lot of pressure on our natural systems; its a tricky balance to strike, between living with the modern conveniences we have become accustomed to, and preserving the natural systems that sustain us into the future. "A society grows great when old men plant trees in whose shade they know they shall never sit".
